Clean Cape Fear Founding Member Sets Sights on Senate

Clean Cape Fear’s mission is to restore and protect our water quality, as well as spotlight deficiencies in governmental regulations that adversely impact our right to clean water. We are a nonpartisan entity and do not believe that partisan maneuvers belong in our fight for clean water. To that end, we accept founding member Harper Peterson’s graceful decision to step away from Clean Cape Fear as he begins his campaign for the 9th district’s state senate seat.Peterson said he did not wish for Clean Cape Fear’s efforts to be compromised or politicized by his candidacy.

We thank Mr. Peterson for his dedication, knowledge and his unwavering tenacity in working to inform and engage the public on this issue, and to effect change within the entities that are charged with protecting our right to clean water.
