CFPUA to File Lawsuit Against Chemours and DuPont

On August 3, the law firm representing the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority sent a notice to bring a citizen suit against Chemours and DuPont. 

"You are hereby provided notice that CFPUA, through undersigned counsel, intends to file a lawsuit against Chemours and DuPont in federal court to enforce the requirements of the Clean Water Act and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act," the letter states.  To view the letter, click HERE. 

In other legal news, the U.S. Attorney's Office has subpoened the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality for records, permits and other communications about the discharging of GenX from Chemours' Fayetteville Works plant. Read about it HERE.
